Privacy Policy
The short version
HintLadders collects almost nothing. There are no accounts. We never ask for your name, email, or personal details.
What stays in your browser
Your hint reveals and your answer-check results are saved in your own browser’s local storage. This data never leaves your device. Clearing your browser data removes it.
What we count anonymously
When you check an answer, we add one anonymous count to that puzzle’s totals: solved, missed, or gave up. Each network address counts once per puzzle.
These counts feed the difficulty statistics. They contain no names, no emails, and no way to identify you.
What we do not do
- No accounts and no sign-ups.
- No advertising or ad trackers.
- No third-party analytics.
- No tracking cookies.
- We never sell data. There is nothing personal to sell.
Hosting logs
Like most sites, our hosting provider keeps basic technical logs for security and reliability. These may include IP addresses and requested pages. We do not combine these logs with anything that identifies you.
Changes to this policy
If we ever add analytics or advertising, this page will be updated first. It will describe exactly what is measured.
